Universal SSL

By default, Cloudflare issues — and renews — free, unshared, publicly trusted SSL certificates to all domains added to and activated on Cloudflare.

Universal certificates are Domain Validated (DV). For setup details, refer to Enable Universal SSL.

Note

If your website or application requires an SSL certificate prior to migrating traffic to Cloudflare, or if you need to customize cipher suites, refer to Advanced or Custom certificates.
